Foundation of OACN
Odisha Association of Child Neurology (OACN) is an association of paediatric neurologists, neurologists, paediatricians, behavioural paediatricians, child psychologists, and allied professionals and everybody interested in the neurological, developmental and behavioural well-being of children. It’s a common platform for professionals and novices to increase knowledge and awareness about various neurological disorders of children. Still today pediatric neurology is in infancy in the state. The whole mission of the foundation is to create a conducive atmosphere in the state for the betterment of pediatric neurology academics as well as treatment.
Vision
Our Vision is to strengthen the approach for better teaching, training and academic exchange amongst professionals as well as residents to create resources for the ultimate betterment of children afflicted with neurological disease. This will help to narrow down the knowledge gap for better management of patients.
Mission
The Odisha Association of Child Neurology is a growing network of professionals involved in the care of children with neurological ailments. The objective of academic, scientific and clinical exchanges between doctors, nurses and paramedical personnel. Ultimately this would lead to improved care of children with such disorders. The mission of the society is to conduct different academic programmes in form of conferences, web-based education, and discussion in different forums. Awareness campaigns in different parts of the state in collaboration with different bodies will be done for caregivers.

❝ Dear Members of the Odisha Association of Child Neurology
I welcome all our OACN members, professionals, partner associations and caregivers. We are a very young association. As President of OACN, with the able support of the entire OACN Committee, we aim to strengthen our fraternity & spread awareness in the community. Paediatric neurology is still in its infancy in our state. Our sole motto is to spread awareness and increase knowledge among primary care doctors. Our aim is to expand & strengthen our fraternity, encourage & promote our young fellows and professionals, to identify with & carry our association to greater heights. We are in collaboration with other national & international child neurology bodies, thus expanding our reach and presence. We welcome you and look forward to an active association with you over time. ❞
